Okay, if you know nothing else about us you should know that we live in a barn. Honestly. People drive by and call us to say, "Nice ranch, but where do you live?" We have to tell them to "Come back, we're right here!"
It was 2003 when we started building our ranch here in Northeast Oklahoma's "Green Country". There was nothing here but 160 acres and an old pole barn that now has a fresh coat of paint and houses machinery. Rich came "off the road" that year to retire on the place after 24 years in the Air Force (the flying part of the Flying K) and numerous other jobs that ended with his driving an entertainer bus. We now work harder than we ever have. Although I'm still gainfully employed four days a week by afore mentioned entertainer (get our connection now?) I help. Over the past seven years we have built, and built. Now with four barns and three loafing sheds we can accomodate everyone and everything.
It is time to get down to business, miniature donkey business that is. Donkey babies being born. Donkey driving. Donkey shows. And donkeys on parade. Our primary focuses in the breeding arena will be toward healthy, well conformed animals; and keeping a manageable herd size that will allow for individual attention.
Please check back often as we will be adding pages to show off our family of Miniature Mediterranean Donkeys.
